CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia - An man armed with a pair of scissors has been arrested outside a Central West service station which he allegedly robbed 10 days earlier.
Police had been investigating since the robbery, which occurred in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday 20 May 2020.
Officers from Chifley Police District were told an employee at the business on Sydney Road, Kelso, was threatened and intimidated by a man about 5.30am that.
The man threw coffee around the store before he verbally abused the staff member.
When the employee took cover in a rear office, the man allegedly stole cigarettes and left.
An investigation was initiated, and on Thursday (28 May 2020), a warrant was issued for the man's arrest.
Following inquiries, a 22-year-old man allegedly holding a pair of scissors was arrested outside the same service station about 11.15 on Saturday.
He was taken to Bathurst Police Station where he was charged.
The man, a local from Kelso, was refused bail and ordered to appear at Dubbo Local Court by audio-video link on Sunday.
