HANGZHOU -- A perovskite photovoltaic cell production line has gone into production in Quzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province.

PHNOM PENH -- About 3,135 tourism establishments in Cambodia have so far been either closed or suspended due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, affecting over 110,000 workers, according to a Ministry of Tourism on Wednesday.

The affected tourism establishments included hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, massage-spa parlors, karaoke clubs, nightclubs, beer gardens, and tour and travel operators, said a report provided to Xinhua on Wednesday. (Cambodia-Tourism-COVID 19)

SAN FRANCISCO -- Microsoft Corp. on Tuesday announced the goal to achieve "zero waste" for the company's direct operations, products and packaging by 2030.

To address waste creation, Microsoft will reduce nearly as much waste as it generates while reusing, repurposing or recycling solid, compost, electronics, construction and demolition, and hazardous wastes, the announcement said. (US-Microsoft-Zero Waste)

SYDNEY -- Australia's second largest airline Virgin Australia will cut 3,000 jobs and reduce other costs in a bid to be more profitable and competitive in the post COVID-19 world.

In a statement published on the Australian Securities Exchange on Wednesday, Virgin Australia said it would reduce costs and axe 3,000 roles to adapt to uncertainties caused by the pandemic. (Australia-Virgin airlines).
